Defeat Bosses Easily
Hold a Mega Mushroom in your reserve and when you enter the Boss door, activate it and touch the Boss to KO him.

Extra Toad Houses
Jump onto the flagpole finishing the level with the last two digits on your countdown timer as the same. For Red Houses, end your timer on 11, 22, or 33. For Green Houses, end your timer on 44, 55, or 66. And for Orange Houses, end your timer on 77, 88, or 99.

Unlock Backgrounds
Clear the path to every mushroom hut. Once you finish the game, a path to a blue mushroom hut will appear in World 1. It contains the background patterns that you can buy for 20 Star Coins each. A fifth theme can be bought once you’ve cleared paths to the mushroom huts in every world.

Warp to World 5
In the World 1-Tower, When in the hidden room with the second Star Coin, you can see a small gap in the upper-right corner of the room. Jump into the gap to reach a hidden area with a 1-Up (inside the invisible blocks). Use Shell Mario to break the blocks along the floor to reach the warp cannon.
