Metal Characters in 2P Mode
After you select a course, hold A and Y and you should have a metal ’skin’.

Special Attack for Team Sonic
After you used Team Sonic’s Team Blast, press A+B in the air. Instead of doing the Tornado attack, you do the Team Blast!
Note: This only works after Team Blast is done, and only while depleting Team Blast bar.

Team Blast Effects
Team Chaotix- Certain amount of Rings per enemy killed.
Team Dark- Time stops for a while.
Team Rose- Lvl. Up everyone once, plus invincible.
Team Sonic- Nothing happens.

Unlock Final Story
Collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds and finish all stories.

Unlock Final Story and then Defeat it.
First, defeat all the stories in the game. Then, collect all the Chaos Emeralds. To do this, go to challenge mode, look around stages, every second one should have an Emerald Symbol. Go into the Stage. Collect at least ONE key, and end the stage. Be sure not to get hit, or you’ll lose it. There should be 2-3 keys in each stage.
Now, complete the Special Race to the Emerald stage. If you succeed, you get the Emerald. After you’ve gotten each Emerald, and beaten each story, go to the Team select. Now, go past Chaotix, and you should see a team that only has Metal Sonic. Click on it, then begin. Watch the Cinema scenes, and then fight Metal Madness. First you fight as Team Rose, then Chaotix, then Dark.
Metal Sonic/Metal Madness weak point is the swirly ball on him. When it?s Blue, Speed characters can?t hurt him; if Yellow, Flying characters are useless to hurt him. When Red, Powers have no Power.
After you kill him with the 3 Teams, you’ll see a cinema when Metal Sonic flies away. Sonic turns into Super Sonic, and Tails and Knuckles get balls around them! Anyway, Metal Sonic’s Final battle attacks are some crystals, that you use Sonic to destroy, some Missiles that Tails blows apart, throwing an Egg Fleet ship, that Knuckles can take apart, and finally! CHAOS CONTROL! You can?t avoid Chaos Control, so be careful.
To beat him, build your Team Blast meter to the max, then use it. It takes a total of 5 Team Blasts to destroy him. But be warned, during the fight you lose Rings! If you lose them all, you die! After you beat him, watch the last Cinema scene, and during the credits, you hear the full version of the Song: “Sonic Heroes!” Congratulations! You Unlocked and Beat the Last Story!
