Alternative Costumes for 2-P Battle
Get an A-Rank for a character. You get his/her alternative costume for 2-P battle. For example, if you beat all of Eggman's Missions, and get an A-Rank, you get his costume. To activate it, when selecting a character, press Up on the Control pad.

Chaos Chao
First, make your Chao get reborn twice. On the third life give it one of each animal in the game. While doing this, try to choose the side it will be on: Dark, Hero or Neutral. When it comes out of the Cocoon, it'll be a Normal Chaos Chao if you turned it normal, Dark Chaos Chao if it is turned to the Dark side, and Hero if turned into a Hero Chaos Chao. All Chaos Chao can live forever and wont ever die!

Chaos Drives
If you are trying to get Chaos Drives for your Chao quickly, go on the stage Iron Gate with Eggman. If you are trying to get a certain kind of Chaos Drive for your Chao, go on the last mission for Iron Gate.

Dark Chao Garden
Raise a Dark Chao with one of the three Dark characters. Continually feed and train your Dark Chao and soon it will evolve (creates a tear-shaped cocoon). Once it evolves, the descending stairs should appear at the main Chao lobby.

Lost Chao Location for Sonic City Escape
You need the Mystic Melody upgrade.
Where you run down the side of the building, you need to land at the bottom instead of bouncing from the springs. On the left, past a tree, you will see ancient ruins. Play the Mystic Melody to this and a spring will appear. Use that to bounce to the pulley, then cross to the next one,. Keep going upwards until you come to an electric creature. Wait for the field to go down, then destroy it to access another spring to the last pulley. Leap to the pole that appears, then press A to take you to the wall of the building. Stay close to land in the opening that appears where he lost chao is.
You can achieve an A-rank by beating 2 minutes 30.

Lost Chao Location for Sonic Crazy Gadget
You need the Mystic Melody, Light Shoes and Bounce Bracelet upgrades.
Once you pass the fifth save point, you enter a gravity chamber/block room with switches. Press the gravity switch to be on a purple block. Run to the second switch but jump to the right to land on a red block. Press the gravity switch to your left, landing you back on the purple block. Play the Mystic Melody to the ancient ruins, then light dash through the line of rings that appear. The lost chao is on a ledge of a platform at the end.
You can achieve an A-rank by beating 5 minutes.

Lost Chao Location for Sonic Final Rush
You need the Mystic Melody, Light Shoes and Bounce Bracelet upgrades.
Once you pass the fifth save point, you will come to a spring that bounces you to a platform where a purple and an orange rail both lead off. Get on the purple rail and pass the sixth save point. Play the Mystic Melody to the ancient ruins and travel across the floating platforms that appear. Make your way to the top of the purple rail, then play Mystic Melody to the next ancient ruin that you see and light dash using the line of rings that appear. Now, travel along the orange rails until you come to a tunnel. Destroy the blue creature then get to the top of the rail in front of you to reach the lost chao
You can achieve an A-rank by beating 4 minutes 15.

Lost Chao Location for Sonic Green Forest
You need the Mystic Melody and Bounce Bracelet upgrades.
Immediately back from save point #3, you will find a fallen log with an animal in front of it. To the left, on a platform below, is the ancient ruins. Drop down to this and play the Mystic Melody. Travel across the floating platforms, home in on the electric creatures and when it drops its field, destroy it to continue forward to the lost chao.
You can achieve an A-rank by beating 1 minute 30.

Lost Chao Location for Sonic Metal Habor
You need the Mystic Melody and Bounce Bracelet upgrades.
After the point where the planes bomb you, on the left will be four hangars. Above the hangar with the choa box, you will locate the ancient ruins which you play the Mystic Melody to. Travel across the floating platforms that appear, until you reach an area with red boxes. Go to the end to locate the lost chao.
You can achieve an A-rank by beating .50 seconds.

Lost Chao Location for Sonic Pyramid Cave
You need the Mystic Melody and Bounce Bracelet upgrades.
The first ancient ruin at the third save point is fake. Continue until you come to the next one. Play Mystic Melody to it to make a spring appear. Bounce on the spring and then go through the passage-way. Hit the hourglass switch then leap to the pole above. Swing from pole to pole quickly to land in front of the closing door, in which you will find the lost chao.
You can achieve an A-rank by beating 3 minutes 50.

Phoenix
If you play the Level "Mission Street" You can find a Phoenix. In one area, you'll see a cage with the Phoenix. If you have the right Upgrade, you can bust the Metal Crates near the cage. Inside is a rocket. Use it to destroy the cage and collect your Prize! You can give it to your Chao as an Animal.

To get a rare unicorn for your Chao Garden, go to City Escape level and break all three chao boxes. Then go to the Chao Garden and give the animal to the Chao
