Since I live in a different time zone, 5 hours ahead of New York, I didn't hear about it until 2:30pm or so, which is pretty much when it happened. I was going home and this guy from my grade who was on the bus told me that the twin towers had been bombed. I didn't really think much of it, since I just heard that it had been "bombed," and I didn't think there would be as much damage as there was. When I got home I saw it on the news, and it seemed surreal. When you see an attack like that, you just think, "what movie is this from?"
As in TML's case, 3/11 was much more personal to me. My brother lives in Madrid and was just outside of that train station when the bomb went off and saw people running out with blood on their faces. Thankfully, my brother was alright...
