I was the one cleaning up after the party. I find the Thingy in a pile of used napkins and take it and the leftover cake and soda as payment of my services. After cleaning I warp to my Base away from Base on an asteroid somewhere in the asteroid belt where I put the Thingy in a vault and enjoy my reward dinner of 1 day old cake and room temperature soda.
