It's a fun game; it's immensely fun playing with another (retro) gamer. It's always funny when you accidentally throw a tire at your partner, and you end up kicking each other instead of playing the game 'properly'. At it's heart, it's a free-range beat-em-up scroller, but it has tons of RPG-like thingies attached to it. You have all the RPG stats like health, attack power, speed, etc. Also, it has a character building system by buying food, equipment, items, and skills from various towns using money you get from beating guys up. It has RPG like progression, where you advance (and backtrack) through the various towns with progressively tougher enemies and bosses, and advance a paltry story. Pretty fun, I must admit; it has a cult following. |
