I have to reccomend Halo, Gears, and CoD4 and WaW, obviously. RainbowSix Vegas is good, but you have to like tactical shooting. Assassin's Creed is a masterpiece. Kane and Lynch I loved, but you have to get used to the controls.
Fallout 3 is amazing, one of my favorite RPGs to date. Mass Effect is well done too.
