| The only reason people dispute this is all those f***ing horrible Bonga racing games they've been throwing at us like rotten eyeballs recently. If Rare hadn't abandoned ship or somebody competent made a worthy sequel to the DKC series, nobody would question its separateness.
Heck, even the silly DK64 reinforced the separateness. Today? It's hard to say Donkey Kong functions much as a character anymore. |
