| Um... The Dreamcast is highly regarded as one of the consoles with one of the best awesome to suck ratios, along with the Neo Geo. It also had online capabilities, which was new for its time. The controller is about on par with the Xbox. Just because a console fails doesn't mean it's because it was bad. (See: the aforementioned Neo Geo)
Sega was running out of money from their past failures and the Playstation was the powerhouse at that time. They couldn't compete, and they stopped manufacturing them. I'm proud to say that I have my Dreamcast, but I'm sad to say that I never play it because I don't know where any of my games are.
