Anywho, I liked FFIX because it took a lot of the best aspects of the new games and combined them with the best of the old. While most games since VII have been getting more and more different, becoming more distant from the original games, IX felt almost like a trip back in time. It really felt like a NES- or SNES-era Final Fantasy game. I also thought it had some of the best characters in the series (and Quina), and some of the most memorably lines/scenes. I'd put it right under FFVI as one of the best Final Fantasy games. __________________  |
