Because we all know that there are certain series that haven't been updated in years that are just too awesome to leave on the shelf to rot.
5) Star Fox - Nintendo
4) Ogre Battle - A series that hasn't been updated since 2002's Knight of Lodis. And as much as I did like that game, I feel it was too much of a radical departure from the series norm. You'd have to go back to 2000's Person of Lordly Caliber to find the game-play that the series is known for. It was a rpg/rts mix that was as awesome as hell and hard as **** to get the best ending. And it had a good story too. Come on Square, stop milking your Final Fantasies and boot these games back up.
3) Crono Trigger - Square
2) Breath of Fire - Alright, I know some people will be very upset at me for putting this ahead of CT, but I have my reasons. While CT had a better story, better developed characters, better music, etc, I still have a soft spot for BoF because it was the first RPG series outside of the Mario games that I really cared about and pretty much jump started me into the genre. CT didn't come until afterwards, therefore, lower on my priority list. Here's hoping that Camelot (who finally decided to update my former #1 franchise on this list, Golden Sun) decides that after their next game, they'll make a new sequel to this series
like they want to.
1) F-Zero - It's hard to believe that it's been 6 years since F-Zero GX came out, as it's still one of my favorites to this day. Nintendo needs to stop ignoring their hardcore fanbase and make another damn F-Zero game. We don't need a thousand Mario Galaxies and gimmicky Zelda games. Just make regular ****ing games.
