| In any regard, SMRPG is owned by both Nintendo and Square I think, and I think Square has personally evolved beyond wanting to use other franchises for their hits, they have their own franchises to worry about. Anything in the same style as SMRPG sounds like a step back for them, and I seriously don't think Mario could survive the same level they are giving games like FFX-FFXIII, I think the moment has passed, and I'd expect both companies would be fine with that. Nintendo never liked their franchise being made into a turn-based RPG and I don't think Square would want to retro-create a new game for the company at this point anyway. |
