| I think one of the big reasons people sort of edged away from him was because no matter how you looked at it, he's the clone of a clone. Luigi is, at least at the start, a clone of Mario, he was just a pallet swap from the first Mario game to be player 2. Wario is an obvious clone of Mario, supposed to be the evil Mario. As such, Waluigi is a clone of Wario and Luigi, an evil clone of an already cloned character. But really, over time he's not really so bad, he does have some of his own motives, his own moves, and he's more then just a blatant copy now . . . well, sorta/almost. |
