Sure enough, Atlus has just confirmed the voxel-based Legend of Zelda tribute for localization. "The 8- and 16-bit classics many gamers cut their teeth on are magical, down to their blocky sprites and elegantly simple gameplay," said Atlus PR and sales manager Aram Jabbari. "3D Dot Game Heroes captures all of that legendary charm and more, bringing classic visuals, familiar sounds, and a grand sense of exploration and discovery into stunning next-gen realization, all the while giving countless winks and nudges to the fans those iconic games mean the most to. This is pure action-adventure gaming at its finest, a true love-letter to a time-honored genre." From what we've heard, 3D Dot Game Heroes was heavily contested, with several publishers being in the mix to publish the game. As it so often does though, Atlus has apparently come out on top. It'll be out May 11 for $39.99. Start planning your perfect 8-bit Link re-creations. | __________________ |
