Oh, you can take a post from back then and post it out of context; but back then I was aiming to point out the weakness in the opposition's base and build up the Nintendoite base.
Now that the Nintendoite base is strong, I figure it would be fair to those whose parties I totally defeated to give them a chance to work with me. Of course, if they choose not to work with me, then I shall not make any of them my VP; but if there exists a candidate outside my party who, nonetheless, wishes to be an ally in representing the goals of the people, then why not make them my running mate?

you. Did you not read the disgust and hatred I summoned in the opposition parties with my sometimes severe tactics? No! You did not, good sir. You skimmed for a piece of speech which is no longer relevant, so as to promote that hatred coming back again!
But I, as president of NC, shall not allow you to revive that bitter divisive electoral hatred. No, I shall challenge YOU to explain what the purpose of holding on to old grudges would be when we all must work together to rebuild NC!
Continue your bitter jokes if you must, News Man; but we shall see how many friends you make, suggesting that I once again shun all other candidates when there is plenty of power to share with them!

I must admit, I have been quite busy. As I said in my election ads, I have many other responsibilities. NC is high on that list, but sometimes, like Jay, I must do things. The people voted for me knowing this, and thus I am here. If you have a problem with that, then by all means, find a candidate to compete against me in the next election...
...For the ones from the last one haven't been any more active than me at the moment!
