At least Ryu fit into the whole "martial arts prodigy who can channel his
ki into raw offensive power" archetype. But Blanka is some kind of feral Lou Ferrigno who bites off people's faces, and who learned how to electrocute foes by studying fish.
They must have been high when they thought him up.
