"Yo-yo3. Battlechip in. Download now." Rayne seemed to be at ease as he spoke into his PET, his newfound Navi performing above and beyond his expectations. The net navi Domino had chosen to pick a fight with was one by the name of ShieldMan, but the he was soon becoming bored with his weak opposition. In a leap and an acrobatic twirl, Domino suddenly grasped a green razor blade, and as he soared over the navis head, he left loose with it, its steel edge deleting him with no problem at all.
"Are you getting it Rayne? That shield he was carrying looked decent, I could use it in other battles"
"No problem, I already copied his ShieldData and currently I'm downloading it to your memory banks. That way you'll be able to call on it whenever you want"
It was another perk of having Rayne as his operator. During his upgrade, Domino had opted for a change that would allow Rayne to store one piece of extra data in Domino's memory banks. This would allow him to call apon a specific power or item his deleted opponent had used, however, there was only space for one, so the shield was only there as a space-filler. But Domino was happy with his newly aquired item, and as he called it into cyberspace, he fully understood that his defenses were exponentially increased with it.
Even bolder than before, Domino jacked out, altoo ready to get back to the undernet. The above ground servers were too bright, and the navis there were too wary of his physical appearance for him to stay undetected there for long. It was best he was heading for his refuge, for there he could fully test his new toy. He landed gracefully in a kneeling position, left hand gripping his staff tightly. But his rest was cut short as Rayne opened a communications link with him.
"I've found a relatively strong navi for you to face, head to undernet 1, and I'll take care of the battlechips." The hacker spoke with confidence, his smile arrogant but knowing, and as Domino flashed the smile back, it was all he could do to keep from laughing. |
