Wait, aren't you in high school by now? And she thinks you're too young for dating? What the hell?

My mom ENCOURAGES me to date. The other day she asked me if I'd found out that playing guitar (I play guitar, obviously) attracts girls yet. It can be a bit awkward at times, but I respect her for that, because unlike 99% of other moms, she doesn't pretend that she was a sweet little angel when she was my age. It would be simply hypocritical of her to do so, and she acknowledges that. I think all mothers should realize that. Either they've all forgotten what being a teenager was like, or they don't want their kids to do what they did at that age. I'm betting on the latter.
