In all seriousness, though, if your mom thinks you're "too young", then prove how mature you are. Do things that test the whole "trust" thing. Do what the other members told you to do. Mostly, don't do anything stupid, and you'll be alright.
And perhaps the "too young" thing is just an excuse made because there was no other real good reason to defend with to prevent you from doing this. Or I'm just overevaluating.
