Satan used to be an angel called Lucifer according to some stories. He fell from grace after he craved for too much power and he got hell assigned to him by God. I don't think this story appears in the Bible at all, but it is very common in (medieval) literature.
Anyway, we were not talking about God or Satan, but about a god and a devil. Basically what you're saying is, if evil exists, God must exist (skipping a few steps of course). Nice logic, right there. |
