| You liked JP because you are a dinosaur expert?
I'm by no means an expert, but I read a lot about dinosaurs when I was a kid and I was very aware of the innacuracies, and that most of it was speculation. The biggest innacuraccy is of course the size of the Velociraptor (why they insisted on making it a Velociraptor when they could've gone with Deinonychus, which resembles Velociraptor, and is much closer to the height of the creatures in the movie).
Aside from colour and sounds (which can only be guessed) there were a lot of things that were speculated:
- the Iguana frill and the poision of the dilophosaurus
- the intelligence, and co-operative skills of the velociraptor
- the hunting abilities of the T-rex.
- more I can't think of right now
Despite all this, I really enjoyed the first movie (I even own it on DVD). The 2nd one was not nearly as good, especially when they went Godzilla at the end. The 3rd was very poor. I saw the beginning of it a while ago, and how they got Grant back on the island was ridiculous. I also thought it was incredibly stupid that they spend two films building up the T-Rex as the most dangerous animal that ever lived and then suddenly claim the Spinosaurus is even bigger (it wasn't) and more dangerous (not likely). |
