| Awesome. I got some new stuff, put it in, and now everything works. Granted, it doesn't run great, but it's certainly manageable. Only played a few hours, but I already love it. The most noticeable thing it has over Morrowind is that it's so... organic. Things feel natural. For instance, joining the Thieves' Guild. I won't go into details, but suffice it to say that it's a little more involved than walking up to Sugar-Lips Habasi and saying you feel like joining. Combat, stealth, and magic are all light years ahead of Morrowind. Just the fact that you start with a minor healing spell, and you regain magicka constantly (unless you're born under the Atronach, but whatever), helps a great deal. The physics engine makes bows a lot of fun. Also, it's a little harder than Morrowind... you can't just walk into a house, kill someone, take all their stuff, and sell it over at the tradehouse. (Honest merchants don't buy stolen stuff, and I think you'd get into trouble with the law.) I could probably go on, but... I'm tired. |
