It seems that this person fails to understand that the character's personalities are entirely made up. It seems that the cast of NC, being video game characters, are nothing but vehicles for personality and humor. As Reid said, it does seem the person making this criticism only read the title of the site.

NC IS USING THE CHARACTERS IN THE MARIO GAMES AS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS FROM THE GAMES BY MAKING ENTIRELY DIFFERENT STORIES.
Each character in NC=/= dispensable.
