As for the game, there are moments in an England match when you know that they will be knocked out. In 1998, David Beckham was sent off, and the game went to penalties. In 2002, David Seaman got injured and was unable to keep out Ronaldinho's freekick, which won Brazil the game. In 2004, Rooney got injured, the game went to penalties.

This time round? Beckham gets injured AND Rooney gets sent off AND the game goes to penalties. I expected us to go out.
