| For a long time, I wasn't a big fan of his music, although I liked some of his songs. Under Pressure is one of my favourite songs, though and some people told me I should listen to more Bowie songs. He also features on two of my DVDs, Live Aid and the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert (with two of his own songs as well), and that was when I first started to like him. I wanted to get a live DVD, but whenever I saw one in the store I realised I didn't know that many of his songs, so I decided to get his Platinum collection instead. Unlike Codie, I quite like it, especially the first album, with songs like Jean Genie, Ziggy Stardust, Rebel Rebel, Sufraggete City, Changes, All The Young Dudes and one of my favourites Space Oddity. I didn't like his 1974-1979 CD as much, although there are still songs I like, such as Sound and Vision, TVC 15, 1984 and "Heroes". I like his 3rd period, better than the second. The songs are a bit more poppy, but I don't mind that. From this period my favourites include Let's Dance, Ashes to Ashes, Modern Love, China Girl, This Is Not America, and of course Under Pressure. |
