| I think we could do is less of leveling up and more on focusing on the game. Sure we can gain levels and get stronger if we want to but not have to be forced to do it for 3 hours to beat a boss. Make it feel like we are getting stronger as we progress through the story. Don't make the game easy but don't make it impossible. Use more unique systems that give an impression of real time. For instance Super Mario RPG allowed you to block attacks or take less damage if you hit the button at the right moment and you could do multiple attacks if you hit the button at the right time. Allow the enemies to have the same abilities and to be able to block an attack or two and even stop you from doing anymore for you attack. Also allow players to do multiple things per turn for a certain limit. When doing like a physical attack, allow them to Punch left, right, uppercut, kick,etc for the multiple attack. The blocking would be like that too. Legend of Legia 1 and 2 and this system and you could preform unique combo's. It was fun to battle. Another thing would be to have all character usable and balanced in stead of only using three primely. I would want take care of them more unlike most games. This would make battles less boring and more of a challenge that relies on skill rather then just primarily levels, equipment, and luck. The good things I do like about some RPG's is a fun battle system, good atmosphere, good story, nothing boring. StealthKnight |
