^Good man. Oh, and Link has the ability to the spin attack in OoT before he gets magic power, with the plain old Kokiri Sword. To my way of thinking, the fact that you can do a Magic Spin Slash once you learn how to do magic indicates that the swords themselves are merely normal swords that Link uses in moves he already knew, except that he powers the moves themselves up with magic.
As for the sword-laser, the conditions for using it depend on Link's state, not the sword he's using. I'd compare this to a magic-user who needs to be in a perfectly calm state of mind (aka a state of mind one would be pretty far from while bleeding profusely from Moblin-inflicted spear-wounds in the face) in order to wreak his horrible death-magic. |
