| I'm almost certain that you're going to need a form of payment entered before you can actually sign up. They won't bill it until your first month is up, but I'm certain they need some sort of proof of future payment before they activate the account. To compare it to other things: its the same way when you get a free trial to a magazine...they get your billing info and bill you when the trial is over unless you cancel (with the exception of that free gamepro subsciption I got like 4 years ago that never asked for billing info and never stopped sending magazines even through 4 address changes).
The other possibility is that you had some issues because of the server upgrades they've been doing this week. They had a ton of servers down to prep for the expansion pack. I'm leaning towards the first probability though. |
