Well, let's break it down:
1.
$250 -- As I said to a coworker, "No matter what, I will be getting a Wii on Day One; it's all a matter of how much I'll be grumbling when I do it." I didn't think Nintendo would set the price point at $250. In fact, I worry that, WHEN Microsoft price drops $50 (not if), it'll put Nintendo into the spotlight as M$ says, "Hey! We [el cheapo 360] cost the same as the Wii. And we have HD!" I think it's a bad decision. I believe that it would have been better if Nintendo packaged
Wii Sports and put it on the shelf rather than bundle it (even though I can see the rationale of why they're not doing that). However, this is something that I'm willing to buy.
2.
GCN Twilight, Dec. 11 -- The only reason why I would be upset with this is a very esoteric reason that would only affect a very few people. Namely, I have to maintain order over at ZeldaBlog, and doing so requires me to read topics with potential spoilers in them, and waiting until 11 December makes that job impossible. Knowing that
other people will be rabidly devouring
Twilight while I would not be would be frustrating. But guess what; we've
always been in this situation to begin with; Japan has gotten every Zelda game months if not a full year ahead of us. And it's not like we're wholly getting shafted. As I said, I'm buying a Wii, and the delay of the GCN version makes the decision for me that I preorder the Wii version instead. And all is well in the TMLverse.
3.
Wii Zelda Controls -- Haven't tested them. Would like to try them. But I cannot complain about something I haven't tried.
4.
$60 Controllers -- I keep seeing the equation "4-player madness = $180" flash into my head and make me woozy... plus the fact that I have to buy a Virtual Console controller in addition to that, making the total $200. That's about as expensive as the console (sans
Wii Sports) itself! Granted, I understand that these are über-controllers, not just ANY old piece of plastic and silicon. Still, I'm not looking forward to that purchase.
