It isn't so much that he doesn't show up, its just that he manages to completely stink out the place when they lose.

His stats during playoff losses are much more telling:

This is the guy that easily lasers in 4 TDs a week and broke Marino's TD/Season record. This is an offensive team that rivals the Martz Rams in their heyday, except they can't bring it when it counts. This is why Peyton has a bad rap in the post-season: because he gets annihilated in critical games against defenses that aren't chumps.

Say what you want about Brady: he's 60+ and 20 as a starter, and he's the football equivalent to Mr. October.
