| Best selling implies that the most units of that console were sold worldwide over all time. Obviously that's not the case with the Wii as even all previous Nintendo home consoles beat it out, as do the Xbox 360 and Xbox, PSX and PS2 (I assume, I didn't bother to check the figures). I think a record as described in the article would be referred to as the fastest selling system, not the best selling system. My point is, that even though it's a big succes for the Wii, I doubt it will be more succesful than the NES, which sold over 60 million untis, and gave Nintendo a market share of over 85% at one time. |
