...apparently, the square button on the up-and-coming PSP handheld is put together differently from the others; the layout of the handheld had it too close to the screen, so they changed the button's design, slinging the guts off to the side. The drawback is, the new-and-improved square button is apparently less responsive, and prone to stick. (0.6 percent of the PSPs already sold in Japan have been returned because of the defect.)
In short, PSP will be a little buggy. And, if they
do fix it before release, we can probably expect them to push it back at least a few months.
