Look at it this way, MJ. How are you going to use the water cannon to defeat a Metal Mario?
Water is completely ineffective on Metal Mario in SM64 (he sinks in it, after all). And he doesn't have a mouth, so you can't defeat him like other enemies (fill them with water til they explode).
But then, how would you use it on Bowser?
Bowser has fire-breath you could extinguish with it.
Even if there is a Metal Mario running around, someone DID have to create him.
