Hmm, to be honest I think if a film was ever made of the Metroid series, it would just be something similar to Aliens (The second one). If it was just Samus on screen solo for two hours, as it is in the games, it wouldn't be much of a film.
Also, I think that it would reveal Samus' gender near the beginning, like just after opening credits, and it would probably be shown in trailers too. It portrays female empowerment, much like Lara Croft.
Samus would actually be like Lara Croft in character, but probably less "refined". Left in the hands of holywood, I could see the Chozo's going with little/no regonition.
P.S. Anyone ever noticed how the Metroid series has more than a coincidental amount of similarities to the Alien series? |
