Super Mario Brothers, Thundercats, and Transformers aren't anime. They were good ol' American cartoons, Saturday morning for the former and action for the latter two. I started on anime when I was about 5, with the first remembered instance of anime viewing being Macross. I might've also watched some Astro Boy at around the same time. The first concrete memories, though, were of reading the Doraemon manga stowed in my cousin's drawer. Oh, and how could I have forgotten? Somewhere in there, I found Nadia of the Mysterious Seas. That was the most wonderful thing Gainax has produced, far superior to NGE and FLCL. [ November 16, 2003, 02:23 AM: Message edited by: Cirvante ] |
