Yeah, he could pretty much only sing jazzy sort of stuff, but what he could sing he sang well. I liked how he had a fresh sound. I mean, if you're going to model your voice after someone famous (like several of the finalists have seemed to have done; Jennifer sounded like a young Whitney Houston, and Fantasia sounds like Macy Gray but better), I'd rather it be someone like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin than yet another Whitney Houston or Celin Dion. |
