They were still pretty minor, I thought, although I don't really like boat missions myself. Things I like about GTA VC over GTA III: The wonderful 'decadent paradise' theme is cool. 80's Miami rules. And, of course, the frequent Scarface references are appreciated. I liked the way the gangs operated: they travelled in clumps, which not only made them easier to avoid, but made the gang war between the Hatians and Cubans quite realistic, even when not in a mission. I also liked the way they weren't as threatening: There was only one area that was dangerous, and even there, the gangs only used pistols. (Remember GTAIII, where you held your breath everytime the words 'Saint Mark's' appeared on the screen?) The new features were all great, of course, and I liked the new vehicles. I did kind of miss the broad LC streets, and the very scenic downtown (VC downtown was kind of ****ty, actually). |
