There's a very damn good reason why every "Modern" rock station in the country still has tracks out of the early 1990s playing in heavy rotation. The 1990s for rock was the same as the 1970s: Better than the crap that preceded it and followed it for 10 years. At least. Anything in the 80s? Post disco, post punk crap. Anything from roughly 1999 onward? Garbage. Too much blending sounds, too much girlpants. And that doesn't even get into rap/hip hop. Yeah, laugh at Hammer and Will Smith all you want. NWA still kicks the piss out of anything in that scene. As does Ice T and Body Count (hell, that kicks the snot out of any nu-metal rap/rock or rapcore/tardcore/emocore/whatever the crap they're labeling themselves this year). Tupac. WuTang. West Coast/East Coast. Stuff coming out of New Orleans from Cash Money and No Limit before they got put on pop rotations. You want to talk about bad music? Yeah, the 90s had boybands, it had that lame post-80s synth pop, and it had Marky Mark before he figured out he could act. But it's still better than the bullcrap they attempt to pass off as music. Crap today is good stuff from the past thirty years put into a blender in an attempt to mix sounds that ultimately shouldn't be mixed. And they wear girl pants. So no, you don't get a break. I hate you. Die. Edit to Bomby: Sorry if this hyjacks the topic. It had to be said. |
Dude...can you not read or something?

BAD 90's music. As in awful music that I remember hearing in various media growing up. To me, it encompasses bad music as a whole. If it doesn't for you, whatever, I'm not going to tell you to die sooner.
Let me reiterate, because I know you'll conveniently overlook it: I remember hearing it before I was even in middle school.
Quit having your little trips, man, because I'm just going to wind up repeating myself after a while.
