So yeah, I made it to DC. Last night actually, I just haven't been able to get on a computer until now. We got in pretty late, and I looked out the window (nice view), and in my fatigue confused Washington Monument for the Statue of Liberty. I also kept thinking about the Empire State Building and ground zero, so I guess my exhausted head thought I was in New York City.
By the way, I'm an aunt of somebody older than I am in real life. Only a year, but...
