Well... I shouldn't post because I know I should stop getting involved here. Like I said in the other topic, doesn't mean I don't read this forum still though. Well, I was asked so what the hell...
I think what they're doing is hypocritical and wrong. I don't think either group should be allowed to send a flier home through school, because as RBM said, it's more trouble than its worth. Also, there are plenty of other means to distribute said fliers without causing such disruptions. Either allow it for everybody or don't.
Somebody above was right in that they're sueing because they don't want their children going to hell. In their eyes they're protecting their children, that's why they're doing this and hence, to them they're not hypocritical. You have to understand their point of view. With that said, I still go along with its a load of crap.
PS: Please don't take this a the viewpoint of how all Christians act because its not, don't apply the case of a few extremist to the whole nor majority like many people on both sides are so fond of doing. Every group has their own extremists.
Back into my cloak of invisibleness until I'm called upon again! OOOOOOooooOOOOO *Vanish*
PPS: Sorry for being late on responding to this and any other topics if I've been asked to, was at my cousin's wedding. Been reading a book recently that tries to explain the different conservative point of views and liberal point of views to the other side and why each side believes what the other does. The author basically puts forward that both sides believe what they believe because of family their different family morals. It's a very interesting idea and has helped me to understand some of the liberal stances on certain issues, they still seem idiotic to me, but I understand them better. Having trouble stomaching some it as on some issues you can see which way the author leans. My only comfort while reading it is that liberals would probably feel the same way while reading about some of the other issues. It's called "Moral Politics How Liberals and Conservatives Think" by George Lakoff. Its a bit outdated, but the most basic parts of it still hold true.
