Fanfics are easy to write because there's no character development necessary. Bonus if you're writing a slash-fic, because the people who read those don't, like, read books anyways, so they can't tell it's garbage.
What I kind of hate is how people use dialogue format instead of paragraph format. Just, like, pages of

char2: blah blah blah
char1: blah blah blah blah
char3: blah blah blah!!!!! |
which kind of conjures up an image of three people standing around a white room, eyes dead, mouths perpetually open, with a slight trickle of drool on each.
