Historically, timed exclusives sell a lot less well on the second system that they come out on (see RE4 for the PS2, or Viewtiful Joe, etc.), and throwing away the majority of possible sales on the much, much larger installbase of the 360 would be ludicrous.
It'll still sell a bazillion copies - a simultaneous release means that they just don't piss off one section of gamers more than the other, so they don't run the risk of any kind of backlash. |
