| I wouldn't say they copied eachother at all. I love GH, but I hate almost everything about Rock Band. The guitar(s) are abysmal, the mic is pretty much broke(I had a semi-pro singer try it and failed on medium), and the drum pedal is made to where you almost have to keep it in your lap to reach the foot pedal. With a few decent songs added to a lot of shovelware, I don't see why it's popular, outside of people thinking it's better than GH. Kinda like how Wii Play is selling so much.
