| The injured man stood back up and... pointed. "I could never take such an idiot seriously!" He bent forward, revealing that, despite Inferno's burning desire to destroy his first layer of armor, it was still there. Then he bent his sickeningly bent backwards arm back into place. He popped the shoulder back into place. Then he picked up his two broken teeth (proper inspection would reveal they were cloned teeth--he always lost a number of them in battles) and hurled them at the demigod's face. "The only reason you think you are so powerful is because idiots fear you. But for I, who have seen the blackest of black, at the heart of all evil itself, you are nothing." He turned, his now striped-ish broken up but still there--mostly--first layer of armor shining erratically. He turned to the other man. "Be that so it may, but if I send him into the sun... then I can destroy the sun with him in it... and then he shall be very irreversibly dead. Hee hee hee." The man then turned to Inferno. "Unlike you, I refuse to waste my true power. You have foolishly activated yours. This means you have enough power in yourself to, I don't know... move planets???" He laughed, pressing a button on his wrist. "This will only hurt a little bit, just stand still. Or not, if you want your soul ripped from your body." Before his foe could react, a bizarre energy beam flew out and above Inferno's head. In a microsecond a cage made of energy appeared around him--but, it had not trapped Inferno himself. No. It had trapped his very soul to the spot. Even then, though, it didn't damage it... "Now, let me see... yes... you have just the power I need. Let's take a trip, why don't we?" Metal Man pressed a button. A weird warping noise was heard... and then... WARP --They were in outer space, over the sun. It was a lucky thing for Metal Man that he had an undersuit on, for his oversuit's space capabilities had been brutally destroyed. Metal Man's manuevering jets turned on, granting him some mobility. Without any other question in his mind, he floated over to Inferno and kicked him in the head... Sending him hurtling towards the sun. While the teleport had drained some of Inferno's energy, for some reason Metal Man had decided to refill it... and then some... by giving Inferno exactly what was considered insane. |
