You know, after thinking it over, I don't really have anything against Z-targeting (well, aside from automatic perfect accuracy with missile weapons, but that's just a nitpick). After having played a few games that both feature some such targeting/auto-face system and remain harder than nails ('Just Cause' and the 'Call of Duty' games spring to mind), I'm going to go ahead and just say that OoT was extremely, extremely easy. Very little challenging combat; I'm not some kind of psycho, and I see the value in curving the difficulty for new players, but they were wrong to make the enemies such sisters when it came to dealing damage. Seriously, some boss-monster the size of a house lamps Link one, you'd expect he'd lose a fat chunk of his life, not some dinky half-heart. Hell, back in the LoZ days, they weren't shy about throwing a group of Blue Lynels at you just in the overworld, nevermind the dungeons at all.

WW, enemy damage is still a little nerfed, but at least you get some pitched battles--Link against a few Darknuts isn't anything to sneeze at. Not to mention, I liked running up against actual jerk enemies in the overworld. Like those helicopter-whale jobbers who ram you again just as you're getting back into your boat. Yeah, annoying, but you take challenge where you get it.
