Sudoku 1x

It's quite taxing to keep creating Now You See It lines and I'm afraid I might completely run out of juice soon. (I wouldn't dare cut things off in the middle of a game, though.) I'm thinking about other simple concepts to put in its place so that you guys will have something to do. This idea I got just about an hour ago also sort of corrects some flaws I thought were present in NYSI. And this one is based around those interesting Sudoku puzzles.

This game would again follow the "anybody can play at any time" theme that's quite convenient for people. I would start you off with a blank 9x9 grid with 81 boxes; 9 different numbers could go in each of the boxes. The basic concepts of Sudoku are that no row, column, or 3x3 section will contain the same number, and based on information you can fill in the rest of the puzzle. To do that, you need numbers. If I don't start you off with any numbers, how do you solve it?

Actually, you don't need that much knowledge about these puzzles in order to play, because most of the time I'll be asking different kinds of questions. I'll highlight certain boxes with a color, and ask a question or maybe a mini-puzzle that corresponds with the number in that box. It could be a question with a one-digit answer, or a multiple choice question (using 1, 2, 3.... instead of A, B, C.....). Answer it right and you'll get an amount of points equal to that number (fill in a 5, get 5 points). Multiple boxes would be highlighted at one time, meaning there would be multiple chances to get in an answer, which I think would greatly improve the playability. I'd make things so that each person would only be able to answer once until I update again, so somebody might be able to choose the most profitable answer while others can still earn some points.

Now, the Sudoku elements would come into play in a unique way. Occasionally I could ask a ridiculous question like "How many superballs are on my desk right now?" How would you know how to answer this? If you look closely at the numbers already filled in on previous questions, you might find out that there is enough information on the grid to eliminate most of the answers! Also, at any time during a round, somebody could take a guess on what the entire grid filled in should be. If they're correct, they earn bonus points (either a set amount or an ascending jackpot, I'm not sure), that round immediately stops, and I start with another blank grid. The winner would probably be the one with the most points after a certain amount of puzzles or something.

Now, I could either set this up by using text to make the Sudoku grid, or images. Both have some flaws with them. If I use text, updates would be faster, but it might be tricky to align everything the right way. If I use images, everything's arranged neatly, but having to upload images with every change made would get very annoying. I still need to look at the best method to do this if I go forward with this idea.

But the one key question is if this would be as active and fun as NYSI would be. So here's two simple questions for you guys: 1) Have you played NYSI before, and 2) would you attempt to play this one?
