I just PWND my ****ty wifi adaptor

Don't ever buy any PCI cards from D-Link. D-Link hates you, and will kill all of your children and your children's children. With acid lasers.

They don't update their drivers ever. SD and I hunted down some solution to use drivers made by RaLink, because the card uses one of their chipsets. All of the drivers it installs are labelled in a vague and nondescript fashion, and the inf file is written wrong - making it near impossible to find the right one. So, I found drivers for another card that uses the same RaLink chipset, on the off chance that they would work. I couldn't even be sure they were the right drivers, because the damn inf file installs them all with names like "802.11g Wireless Adapter". VERY HELPFUL, RALINK. I decided to try the drivers listed for Siemen brand cards one by one, hoping they would work properly. First one did. I guess I've got some luck, after all.

But I wouldn't have had to do something that stupid, if D-Link would update their crapass drivers. At first, the card wouldn't find the router unless you did a couple of searches for it. Recently, it started randomly dropping the connection.

Don't **** with me, D-Link, I will tear your balls off.

I was so close to calling them up and cussing out their customer service reps without a single point except to vent myself on whatever hapless indian they'd hired. If they have a company office anywhere nearby, I would certainly be willing to harrass them in person.
