Capt, Tiers weren't created by Fox players. I play as Doctor Mario and I still think tiers exist. People play who they enjoy playing as--if that's Fox, more power to them. There are some well-known tourney players who play as mid-to-low tiers: Gimpyfish plays Bowser, King plays Jigglypuff, the list goes on. |
You have said nothing to convince me that the tier structure was coded into the game. It's still something imposed onto the game by players.
You've also said nothing to explain tiers to those of us who don't follow "official" tournaments at all.
Playing Bowser is largely about anticipation and exploitation; once Mr. Best-Fox-Player and Mr. Best-Bowser-Player had fought a few times, I guarantee Mr. Best-Bowser-Player would have picked up on Mr. Best-Fox-Player's habits and patterns and started to use them against him.

that was the first place you went when you read what I posted? Dang.
No, I actually meant in some campus tourneys, fighting some guys who are absolute monsters with Marth, Fox, Doc, etc. I'm talking about matches that I
lost, though I certainly put up a good front. Heck, I'm even talking about matches where I got completely dismantled for the first 2 lives, but started turning it around afterwards.

People whining about tiers (whether they won or lost, whether they use an upper-tier character or lower) when I'm just trying to play disrupt my enjoyment of the game. It's them that I'm insulting.
