| Banning tactics gets pretty iffy sometimes--when you ban that, then you have to ban all chainthrows and all shines, then you have to ban pillaring, then you have to ban camping...or at least people will complain about it. It's easier to ban the stages and not have to worry about a big tactics dispute.
The only tactics that were banned in Melee are stall tactics like Peach's Wallbombing and Jigglypuff's rising pound (except for recovery). |
