I'm kind of indifferent, though leaning on the side of Boo here. If anyone has played any of the Soul Calibur games, they would know that the characters already involved in the plot are PLENTY to keep you busy - hell, if you were to master using ONE character that is a
feat. In that sense, the need for guest characters is kind of silly.
Playing devil's advocate though, they
are just guests. I think it's perfectly ok to include them as long as you know that they don't actually have anything to do with the story, but are just there for kicks and giggles.
Oh, and those "not a gamer" arguments/comments were really silly.
